Cookies and similar technologies
Our website uses technical features and browser storage. This page explains what they do and the choices available to you.
On this page
More than cookies
Cookies are small files on your device. SessionStorage, pixels and scripts can also store, access or send information to a service provider. The rules depend on what a technology does; giving a tracking function another name does not make it necessary.
Temporary storage for your planner
After you generate a brief, the renovation planner saves it in sessionStorage under unitn-renovation-brief. This lets you bring it to the contact form in the same tab. The storage belongs to that browser session; restoration depends on your browser. The text is not automatically submitted as an enquiry. You can clear website storage through your browser settings.
Noon and your insights preference
Noon keeps your conversation only in the memory of the open tab, not in cookies or persistent browser storage. A temporary security token also stays only in that memory and expires after one hour. The Noon plugin does not save free-text conversation content in the website database.
When you choose whether to allow optional Noon insights, the website saves your choice and its timestamp under ‘unitn-noon-insights-v1’ in this website’s own localStorage. We reuse this preference for no more than 180 days. An expired record is removed the next time the website opens. You can turn insights off at any time through Noon → ‘Privacy & insights’, or remove the saved preference through your browser. Noon works when you refuse optional insights. This choice applies only to Noon; the other services on this page work separately, as explained below.
Technical operation and security
WordPress can use sessionStorage under wpEmojiSettingsSupports to remember which emoji rendering your browser supports. This is temporary technical browser storage.
The contact forms use technical security and spam protection through Jetpack and Akismet. Information about form completion and the submitted enquiry can be processed for spam checks, as explained in our privacy notice. Login and administration may require different necessary session and security cookies from those used for an ordinary visitor.
Images and external services
Images and files may come from WordPress.com and Squarespace networks. When your browser requests a file, that service receives technical connection data, including your IP address. An ordinary external link to a social network or map differs from content that already loads inside our page. When you open an external service, its provider’s policies also apply.
Statistics, performance measurement and Google Maps
The website loads Jetpack Stats through stats.wp.com to measure page views and outbound clicks. Its script sends measurement requests to pixel.wp.com. Bilmur loads through s0.wp.com and sends technical performance measurements to pixel.wp.com. The home page also loads an embedded Google map through maps.google.com.
These services connect automatically in the current website version. Their providers can receive technical data such as your IP address and browser information. Cookies or other data used by a provider may also depend on your browser and any existing accounts or settings. The links below explain the providers’ policies.

Your browser settings
You can inspect, remove or restrict cookies and website storage in your browser. Some requested features may then stop working. Browser settings do not replace a consent choice that our website must provide for an optional feature.
