Quotes & project information
A clear quotation explains the work, its cost and the agreements for your project. This page helps you assess that information. The specific project agreements belong in the quotation and order confirmation; this page is not a standalone set of general terms and conditions.
On this page
From enquiry to agreement
A contact enquiry, initial planning discussion or quotation request does not itself place a paid renovation order. Before accepting an offer, check exactly what is offered and the applicable arrangements. A contract can also arise through email acceptance or another legally valid method; a signature is not the only method in every situation.
Work, responsibilities and documents
Make sure the agreement clearly identifies the design and construction work included, materials or products supplied and any exclusions. Relevant drawings, specifications, versions and assumptions should be clearly linked to the agreement.
Also record who will arrange any permits, calculations, owners' association approval, surveys or other preparatory information. Responsibilities follow from the actual agreement and the law; this page does not automatically transfer them to the client.
Price and payment
Before you agree, the total price including applicable taxes should be clear, or the calculation method where a total cannot reasonably be established beforehand. Ask for separate explanations of additional charges, provisional allowances and uncertainties.
Check the agreed payment stages, any advance payments and what will be supplied for them. This page sets no standard deposit percentage, payment deadline or tariff: those project arrangements must be clear before you agree.
Programme and changes
Discuss the expected programme, relevant dependencies and which dates are contractual commitments. An indicative programme and a fixed completion date do not automatically have the same meaning.
If the work, materials or design change, the effects on price, programme and responsibility should be clearly discussed and agreed. Keep changes and the related consent in writing. Whether and how additional amounts are payable depends on the actual agreement and the statutory rules for the assignment concerned.
Which terms apply?
Check whether separate general or other terms are stated to apply to your quotation. Request them before concluding the agreement and retain the version relevant to your project. This information page introduces no additional exclusions of liability, penalties or standard cancellation charges.
Individual agreements and validly agreed terms are assessed under the applicable law. Mandatory consumer rights cannot be removed through a website page or an unfair term.
Handover, defects and aftercare
Record how the work will be handed over and which drawings, product information and instructions for use and maintenance accompany the result. Statutory dossier requirements may apply to particular construction work; their scope and application should fit the assignment.
An additional commercial warranty applies only under the warranty actually offered and agreed. Statutory rights concerning defects are separate. This page promises no single general warranty period for all materials and work.
Cooling-off periods and ending an assignment
A statutory cooling-off period may apply depending on the contracting process, the work and any statutory exceptions. Ending an assignment outside such a period is assessed under the rules for that assignment and the validly agreed arrangements.
Ask questions before you agree
If an amount, responsibility, condition or date is unclear, ask for an explanation before accepting the offer. Keep your quotation, attachments, applicable terms and order confirmation together.
